1. Publication Ethics

Jurnal Purifikasi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, free from plagiarism and data fabrication, and not under consideration by another journal. All authors must approve the final manuscript and disclose relevant funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals.

Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and objectivity throughout the editorial and peer-review processes. Suspected misconduct will be investigated, and appropriate actions, including rejection, correction, or retraction, may be taken.

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially, in accordance with the journal's peer-review standards. Reviewers should assess the scientific quality, originality, methodology, relevance, and clarity of the manuscript, provide constructive feedback, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and notify the editor of any suspected ethical concerns. Reviewers are requested to follow the journal's Instructions for Reviewers when conducting their evaluations.

All manuscripts are screened for similarity, with a maximum acceptable similarity index of 20%, subject to editorial assessment.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language editing and other appropriate research tasks but remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts. Substantive use of generative AI must be disclosed, including the tool used and its purpose. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

AI-generated data, references, or content must not be presented as verified research findings without appropriate validation. Editors and reviewers must protect manuscript confidentiality and must not upload confidential materials to unauthorized AI tools.

3. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright and grant Jurnal Purifikasi the right of first publication. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), subject to the journal's applicable licensing terms. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use copyrighted third-party materials where required.

4. Submission Policy

Submission to Jurnal Purifikasi confirms that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not being considered by another journal. All authors must approve the submission and agree to be accountable for their contributions.

Authors must upload the required submission documents, including the completed Author Statement, together with the manuscript. Authors must declare any conflicts of interest or explicitly state that no conflicts exist.

Accepted articles will be published online and assigned a DOI, where applicable.

5. Privacy Statement

Personal information submitted through the Jurnal Purifikasi website will be used exclusively for journal management, editorial communication, peer review, and publication purposes. Such information will not be sold or disclosed for unrelated purposes.

Allegation of Research Misconduct

Jurnal Purifikasi takes allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously, in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Allegations of misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship violations, and other ethical breaches, will be assessed fairly and confidentially based on available evidence. Authors will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations.

The editorial team may request supporting data or documents, consult independent experts, or refer cases to relevant institutions when necessary. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction of a published article, depending on the severity of the findings.

Honest errors and differences in interpretation are not automatically considered misconduct. All cases will be handled objectively to maintain research integrity and protect the scholarly record.
